Bank DKI Collaborates to Strengthen Digital Ecosystem and Services

Bank DKI is collaborating with PT Amazon Web Services Indonesia (AWS Indonesia) and PT Sigma Cipta Caraka (Telkomsigma) regarding the use of cloud computing technology in order to strengthen digital services and ecosystems.

The cooperation was marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Tuesday (9/6).

Bank DKI's Technology and Operations Director, Amirul Wicaksono said that amid the digital era, Bank DKI strives to consistently provide digital banking services that can provide convenience for transactions to customers.

"Hence, we are accelerating the digital transformation process of Bank DKI with support from AWS Indonesia and Telkomsigma," he stated, Wednesday (9/7).

He explained that Bank DKI's digitalization efforts would be supported by AWS Indonesia through the presence of a solution architect and the development of IT human resources to improve their ability in operating cloud computing-based services.

"Thus, Bank DKI's IT HR will receive a number of training and enablement from AWS to increase capabilities and competencies regarding cloud computing," he explained.

Telkomsigma as a local partner providing digital transformation, in this case it has agreed to strengthen the modernization and digitization journey of Bank DKI through cloud-based infrastructure in line with Bank DKI's digital transformation roadmap.

This collaboration also contained an agreement with Telkomsigma to utilize banking products and services from Bank DKI.

According to him, the use of cloud computing would encourage Bank DKI to continue to innovate in providing services that focus on customer needs quickly and adaptively following the latest technology trends.

"The cloud will be the backbone of future infrastructure to realize digital banking services with the JakOne Mobile super app and JakOne Pay electronic money for fast, safe, easy, and reliable digital transaction services," he explained.

Business and Sales Telkomsigma Director, Tanto Suratno revealed that the collaboration underscores the company's commitment to continue to exist as a digitalization partner for the banking sector through the support of cloud-based infrastructure.

"In this case, we are making it happen for Bank DKI starting from the IaaS cloud service, and will be developed to the PaaS and SaaS-based cloud," he explained.

AWS Indonesia Country Manager, Gunawan Susanto, added that the collaboration is a form of his company's commitment to continuously contribute in Indonesia through the capabilities of the AWS Partner ecosystem in building cloud systems.

“Especially at Bank DKI, hopefully, it will provide benefits that encourage scalability. Thus, Bank DKI can modernize its business," he added.

It should be noted that Bank DKI is actively conducting digital innovation as a foundation for future growth by conducting digitalization which is considered an enabler of the company's business transformation.
